The Thirds got the weekend off to a great start on a surprisingly sunny day at Knockharley, Mark Ingamells (47) and brother Joe (35) were instrumental in setting Clontarf a challenging 123 to win. Thanks to a good all round bowling and fielding effort from Knockharley saw Clontarf making 115 for 9 off their 40 overs, there were 3 wickets for Conor Murtagh and wickets for Mark Ingamells and Liam Giggins and also Tony King, so a big well done to James and the team on their second win on the trot.

And so to sunny Sunday not!!, The Firsts travelled to Avondale today looking for their tenth league win in a row, with wet conditions in Avondale the game was reduced to 25 overs a side. Put in to bat Knockharley made a positive start with Anthony Bellew and Dave putting on 40 for the first wicket off 7 overs, Dave (9) was then run out, Usman (2),Fred (2) Mark Ingamells (1) and Darrell (7) all then went cheaply, Anthony then got bowled after some very tight first change bowling from Avondale's Duke and Collins. This left Knockharley precariously on 66 for 6 off 15 overs, but cometh the moment come the man Danish Ali then came in and he and rookie Joe Ingamells then put on 62 off eight overs. Danish's innings included 4x6 and 3x4 in a scintilating 53, Joe did a great job in rotating the strike and he ended on a well made 16 not out. Knockharley ended on a respectable 147 for 7 off 25 overs. Danish and Darrell opened the bowling and some good tight overs saw Avondale struggling for runs, Darrell ended with 3 for 13, Liam Giggins and Rupert Pollock did a fine job as first change bowlers both picking up wickets and there was some fine fielding performances with Mark Ingamells taking 2 fine catches and brother Joe not to be undone taking a skier at Third man. Needing 18 off the last over Knockharley held on for a nail biting and crucial tenth win in a row and remain unbeaten in Inter A.
